About the DJ
DJ Taiga (Simon Tai) is the co-founder and fearless leader of the Remixologists. A California native turned Philly creative, Simon graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Biology—though his real education came behind the decks at house parties and WQHS radio.
Since then, he’s spun for artists like Bruno Mars and Coldplay, held down top clubs in Philadelphia and New York, and built a reputation for blending everything from hip hop and pop to funk, soul, international hits, and beyond. Known for sneaking in clever surprises—like the Duck Tales theme song—Taiga’s sets are versatile, memorable, and always fun.
He now lives in Bucks County, PA with his wife, Monica, and their kids, Miles & Harper. His favorite things? Costco on Tuesdays, brides who request Biggie & Tupac, and a packed dance floor.
