Much of what shapes a Curtis Atrium wedding is height. Towering columns, skylights, a grand staircase and an art deco waterfall give the space its character. The same space hosts the ceremony and, after the room is transformed, the reception.
Three things matter most for entertainment:
- The scale of the room. From our own experience at the venue, the Curtis Atrium is a huge space with large AV requirements. A setup that works in a typical hotel ballroom may not cover it.
- Guest count. The venue’s wedding package requires at least 100 guests on Fridays and Sundays and 150 on Saturdays. At that size, the crowd usually spans generations, hometowns and musical tastes.
- A five-hour event window. The package includes five hours of event time. The ceremony, cocktail hour, plated dinner, formalities and dancing all have to fit inside it, so pacing is part of the entertainment plan.
