The sun is setting, the breeze is warm, and the music is about to take you somewhere you’ve never been. DJ Jams Bond is back with Sunset System (Afro x Amapiano Mix) — a seamless blend of Afrobeats heat and Amapiano soul that’s made for golden hour and beyond. Whether you’re hosting a rooftop gathering, unwinding after a long week, or just letting the music move you, this mix delivers the kind of vibes that feel like a trip abroad.
This mix was crafted to take you on a journey. DJ Jams Bond weaves together the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats with the log drum grooves and melodic flows of Amapiano — two of the most exciting sounds coming out of the African continent right now. The result? A sunset soundtrack that hits different from the very first note.
- 🌍 Infectious Afrobeats rhythms and energy
- 🎹 Deep Amapiano log drums and melodic grooves

About the DJ
DJ Jams Bond (David Cruz) is a multi-instrumentalist, world traveler, and Brooklyn-based DJ with an eclectic approach to music. From spinning Fleetwood Mac as a toddler to curating nu-disco, house, techno, Latin, Afrobeat, and hip-hop, David has a rare talent for creating mixes that balance crowd favorites with unique surprises.
A Bronx native, David has played in venues such as the Beauty & Essex, Gansevoort Hotel, and The Jane, and has performed internationally in Berlin, Tokyo, Turks and Caicos, and the Bahamas. His background as a musician gives him an intuitive sense for rhythm and energy, whether he’s DJing or playing live instruments.
When he’s not spinning, David enjoys comedy, yoga, and being a hopeless romantic—qualities his clients appreciate when he sets the tone for their weddings.
For couples planning their big day, our wedding DJs bring this same energy, expertise, and flow to every event.
