Weddings are always more fun when you know a few of the guests. They are especially fun when the people you know: a) love to dance, and b) remember you as the nerdy kid from high school. That’s exactly what happened when I (9-Volt) handled Jeanne and Sean’s wedding this past January. I’ve known Jeanne since we were in elementary school together on Guam, and I was ecstatic when she asked me to DJ her wedding. Not only did I get to show off my skills in front of some old friends, but I was able to sprinkle in some island classics.
The George Peabody Library was amazing – it felt like I was in the Beauty and the Beast library, and I was half tempted to drop the Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson classic for the hell of it. In the end, I settled for the Percolator, seeing as how we were on the John’s Hopkins campus and the crowd was itching for some good Baltimore Club Music.
It’s an honor to have participated in this wedding and now it’s been featured on United We Love! Click on the picture above or HERE to read more about the wedding!
