Asian American Journalists Association’s (AAJA-NY) Inaugural Trivia Bowl @ ABCTV1 Studio in New York City!
We were honored to help the Asian American Journalists Association’s New York chapter in producing & spinning their inaugural Trivia Bowl at the ABCTV1 studios in New York City last year!
Sixteen teams competed — from the New York Times, CNN, Asian American Bar Association to the CUNY Association of Black Journalists — to win the coveted Tea Cup trophy and bragging rights for the year. Real judges from the New York area including the Honorable Marilyn D. Go, and the Honorable John Lansden, scored answers and ABC News Correspondent Juju Chang and FOX 5 reporter Ti-Hua Chang served as the evening’s emcees.
My favorite part of the night was when I dropped Hypnotize as the judges deliberated an answer for the Notorious BIG’s hometown (Clinton Hill vs Bedstuy… both answers were deemed correct). The timing was perfect as NYC crowd erupted in cheers!
And the winner of the Tea Cup trophy? The team from the New York Times!
